Here is something I don't think I've seen before and
thought would be a great idea. It is a barlow shadow pattern. This one
is 3 1/2" closed made with .093" thick O1. The handles are black linen
and natural canvas over a thin black G-10 layer.

Zulu shadow pattern.
One thing that a lot of people don't know is the term "shadow pattern" when referring to slip joint knives. A shadow pattern is basically a knife that has been made without metal bolsters or end caps.
Here is a Bose Zulu shadow pattern that I recently finished. It's .103" thick CPM 154CM with natural canvas over orange and black G-10. It measures in at 4 1/8" closed and is one of my all time favorite patterns.

Dogleg Jack.
After making my first few slip joints, I showed one to
my friend and mentor David Lang. He was so impressed he asked me to
make him one. You can imagine my surprise and how honored I felt. I
gladly agreed.
Dave moved into my neighborhood the same time my parents did back when I wasn't even 1 year old yet. I have known him my whole life and have memories of going to his shop as a kid and watching him grind on steel. Last August when I decided I wanted to try my hand at making knives I worked up the courage to ask him if he could teach me the ropes. He has taught and continues to teach me most of what I know in knifemaking. I have barely scratched the surface of his wealth of knowledge. He never did get into making slip joints very much so he asked me to make this one. It is black linen over white G-10 and natural canvas. I kept the handle thin on this one and gave it a high polish which I normally don't do on micarta shadow patterns. It's .103" thick CPM 154 CM and measures 3 3/4" closed.

Workhorse Sodbuster slip joint.
I finally decided I was crazy enough to enter the world of slip joint making. I have always loved and used pocket knives and am very excited to start making them. This particular one is the third slip joint I have made. It measures 3 5/8" closed and is made from .103" thick CPM 154CM. The handles are ivory paper micarta over black g-10 and natural canvas. I am really happy with how this one turned out.
Some random knife pics.

Santoku
Here is something completely different for me. This
is a design I came up with for my wife. She broke her el cheapo santoku

up with a design that would meet her criteria.

Blade Thickness: .107"
Steel: CPM 154CM with 600 grit hand rubbed finish.
